These belts are designed and crafted from the best hides available.These belts come from the shoulder and butt (back) section of the hide.

The belts are made by our own belt and leathergoods person in our workshop. His job is to make all our really intensive quality hand work - for example the Tweed sporrans - see our day sporran section. These products are very intensively hand made and finished to an extremely high standard as befits all our products.

These belts are hand cut using a traditional hand tool called a plough knife. The belt is then edge shaved to take of the sharp anngular edge, it is then edge creased (a line down the edge of the belt) using a traditional tool called an edge creaser. The belt then has its edge dyed and polished , which you see only on a really high quality belt.

When you purchase such a belt, it becomes your friend and companion throughout its long life, as such a belt should.
