Welcome to Sporran and Pouch's Dress Sporran range. All of the sporrans you see on these pages are crafted in a workshop which is situated just south of Edinburgh, Scotland. We do not copy other sporran makers so all the products you see are unique to the workshop procucing them, namely ROBINCRAFT.

Robincraft is a name well known and respected in the Sporran world and indeed in the Highlandwear world in general. Robincraft's products are all of a very high quality. This company are not interested in producing cheap items for sale and aim only at the higher quality end of the market.

The prices charged for our products are fair and realistic. The quality is high and all our products really do give really good value for money - after all, as the saying goes, you only get what you pay for!

The formal sporran or dress sporran as it has come to be called is used mainly for formal highland dress wear such as weddings, dinner dances etc. Some dress sporrans are more expensive than others - most are produced in sealskin. So why is that? Well, a basic dress sporran such as the RG1 has a basic but very popular cantle, or top. This top is produced in relatively large numbers in Birmigham  and is extremely popular - a geat seller. The IG or PM ranges use tops made in very small numbers in workshops in Scotland and are very exclusive and hand produced. These are the king of sporrans. Sporran and Pouch is proud to say that these tops are exclusive to us. Cross chaining and different skins used also add to the cost.

Most of our sporrans are made in Sealskin.  However we are moving ever closer to using Bovine in its various forms - which is actually cowhie , a much more eco friendly product. A very important point to make is that no skin we use has any restrictions to their use and absolutely no animal skin we use is killed specifically for use in sporrans- all are by-products of other industries.

You can be assured that all our sporrans and kilt belts and bags are made in SCOTLAND. We do not import ANYTHING.
